Victory Day 2014

victory day

On September 27th, 2014, my son and I were fortunate to be a part of the second annual Victory Day at Bishop Eustace Preparatory School in Pennsauken, NJ.  My son is a member of the BE football team and it was a rewarding day for all.   Former Eagle’s Football player and legend Vince Papale spoke about the significance of never giving up on your dreams.

The event is hosted by the Bishop Eustace Varsity Football Team, Cheerleading Team and Pep Band. Each participant is partnered with Bishop Eustace football players or cheerleaders who serve as mentors for the day. Members of the pep band also perform and support the participants.

Victory Day is an educational, inspirational, and fun event on the gridiron for children with cognitively and/or physical impairments. These Special Needs participants are provided with a full “game day experience” and have the opportunity to play football, cheer on the squad or sit with the band while their parents, family members, caregivers and teachers witness the realization of a dream coming true for their child or friend.
