Commercial Finance Association – 70th Annual National Convention Held in Washington D.C.

The Commercial Finance Association (CFA) held its 70th Annual Convention in Washington D.C., and on November 13, 2014  Dr. Ben Bernanke, Former Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve was the keynote speaker during the general session, and Sallie Krawcheck, one of the top women in the commercial finance industry, spoke  during the Women In Commercial Finance Committee reception the previous night preceding the Gala Reception.sally

CFA members provide capital to businesses that sustain millions of jobs at low risk to the banking system. Over 1000 senior commercial finance professionals  registered to attend the three-day convention, whose theme in their 70th year was Turning Insights Into Opportunities. Convention attendees also heard presentations about the state of the secured lending markets, the outlook for the 2015 global economy and new technologies affecting the industry.

Founded in 1944, the Commercial Finance Association is the international trade organization representing the asset-based lending, factoring and supply chain finance industries, with nearly 300 member organizations throughout the U.S., Canada and around the world. CFA provides education, networking opportunities and industry advocacy to the global commercial finance community.
